Housing
Since July 2004, NSW government law has required that all residential development must be more sustainable. The rules are enshrined in the “Basix” legislation which requires alterations and new homes to be designed and built in a way that makes them more sustainable and less reliant on energy and water input (see www.basix.nsw.gov.au for more detail).
Energy efficiency, water efficiency and thermal comfort make living cheaper, more sustainable and far more comfortable.
Having an easy-flowing relationship between your indoor and outdoor living areas greatly enhances the feeling of your home. A well-designed dwelling and garden, with good aspect, solar access and natural circulation patterns make your home a part of the family and a joy to live in.
